For a person such as Susan or my size (and larger) – a very comfortable seat. A customer with back and neck concerns whom rode one this morning said that the larger seat of the XL, over the Standard Magnum seat, gave excellent support and was much more forgiving over the bumps.
If you are used to the Standard Magnum, the Magnum XL is noticeably bigger to ride.
Magnum SD and Magnum XL specifications:
* with crank extension at max.
** the maximum X-seam can be extended to 52" with use of an Extra Long, 475 mm crank extension, (12" Max mark) available from dealers. Also please note that the maximum and minimum will vary with the seat angle about 1" from the mid figures given between having the seat angled right back to having it right forward.
Plus to achieve the shortest measurement, 2" will need to be removed from the end of the standard 425 mm black crank extension with the 10" Max. mark. A small amount of increase in the maximum can be obtained with longer cranks, and a small amount of reduction in the minimum can be obtained with shorter cranks. Early (2012) Magnums had 375 mm crank extensions with a 8" max. mark.
